WHO
WE ARE I
wanted to start Living History Publications because all my life
I have been interested in people and their stories. Then about
six years ago
my
mother started
writing letters to her grandchildren, including my three children,
reminiscing about her parents, her siblings, her life. I was amazed
at how little I knew about her and how the stories so moved me.
She wanted her grandchildren to know who she is and was. She felt
it important to pass on this information before it was lost forever. Reading about her life and examining the photos she included with
each letter was the beginning of my desire to help others pass
along their stories. Finally, in finding Scott, a kindred spirit
who shared this vision, Living History Publications was born. ~Jennifer
I’ve been interviewing and writing all my life — books,
magazines, websites, brochures — but all along I felt the
most interesting subject matter would be the lives of regular people. To me, it is the poignant details of day-to-day life that give
one’s personal history real meaning. Ordinary people — those
who live next door and down the block, work in restaurants, manage
businesses and raise kids — these people live remarkable
lives. And nothing makes me happier than the chance to hear and tell
their stories. ~Scott
